Kula Studio – Terms & Conditions.

1. Welcome

Kula Studio is a yoga and Pilates studio offering movement classes, workshops, events, and community experiences. We welcome all bodies, backgrounds, and abilities and are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.

By attending classes, purchasing services, or using our facilities, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in this document limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.

2. Studio Offering

Kula Studio is a new and independent business. Our timetable, teaching team, class formats, pricing, and offerings are set by Kula Studio and may differ from previous use of the space.

Offerings may include:

  • Yoga

  • Mat Pilates

  • Reformer Pilates

  • Workshops, series, and special events

All offerings are subject to availability and change.

3. Memberships & Purchases

We offer:

  • Founders Circle memberships (limited availability)

  • Ongoing weekly or monthly or annual memberships

  • Drop-in classes and class packs

All memberships and passes:

  • are for individual use only

  • are non-transferable

  • may not be shared

Current pricing and membership details are published on our website or booking platform at the time of purchase.

4. Payments & Billing

  • Payments are processed securely via approved third-party providers or by direct debit.

  • Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled according to our cancellation policy.

  • Failed payments must be resolved promptly; access may be paused until payment is received.

  • A small administrative fee may apply for repeated failed payments.

5. Suspensions & Cancellations

Membership Suspension

Members may request a temporary suspension for travel, medical, or personal reasons:

  • Requests must be emailed to hello@kulastudionz.com at least 5 days before the next billing date

  • Minimum suspension: 7 days

  • Maximum: 4 weeks per calendar year

  • No bookings or attendance during suspension

  • Suspensions cannot be backdated and are subject to approval

Membership Cancellation

  • Ongoing memberships require 30 days’ written notice

  • Minimum-term memberships may incur an early termination fee

  • Founders Circle memberships include a 12-month minimum commitment

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing, with confirmation and final access day provided by the studio

6. Class Bookings & Attendance

  • Classes must be booked via our website, app, or in-studio system

  • Waitlisted members may be automatically added to class up to 30 minutes prior

  • Please cancel at least 6 hours before class if you can’t attend

Late cancellations or no-shows may result in:

  • loss of class credit, or

  • a $10 no-show fee for unlimited memberships

To support class safety and flow, entry may be refused more than 5 minutes after class start.

7. Schedule Changes & Closures

Kula Studio may occasionally:

  • adjust class times, instructors, or formats

  • rotate seasonal schedules

  • close for public holidays, maintenance, or events

Where possible, notice will be provided via email, booking platform, or social media.

8. Health & Personal Responsibility

Participation in yoga, Pilates, and reformer classes involves inherent risk.

By attending classes, you confirm that:

  • you are responsible for knowing your own physical limits

  • you will inform teachers of injuries, pregnancy, or medical conditions

  • you participate voluntarily and at your own risk

Kula Studio and its teachers are not liable for injury except where required by New Zealand law.

9. Reformer Classes & Capacity

  • Reformer classes are capacity-limited; bookings are essential

  • Grip socks are required

  • Equipment must be used only as instructed

  • Unsafe behaviour or misuse may result in restricted access

Standard cancellation and no-show policies apply.

10. Community Conduct

We ask all members to act with kindness, respect, and consideration.

Unacceptable behaviour includes:

  • aggressive, abusive or discriminatory conduct

  • harassment or intimidation

  • disruption of classes

  • attending under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • filming or photographing others without consent

Kula Studio reserves the right to refuse entry or cancel memberships where safety or community wellbeing is compromised.

11. Privacy

We comply with the Privacy Act 2020.

Your personal information is used only to:

  • manage memberships and bookings

  • communicate studio updates

  • support studio operations

We do not sell or share your data.

12. Studio Rights & Unforeseen Events

Kula Studio may update pricing, memberships, or operations with reasonable notice.

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions), services may be temporarily suspended. Refunds are not guaranteed but extensions or alternatives may be offered at our discretion.

13. Media

From time to time, photos or short video clips may be captured during classes or events for marketing purposes.

14. Agreement

By using Kula Studio services or facilities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
