MOVEMENT MAY

A Note from the Founder

On showing up, and returning to yourself.

There’s something about this time of year.

The shift in season. Cooler mornings, darker nights. Slower starts and earlier bedtimes. There’s a quiet change in rhythm that seems to ask something different of us — or maybe, invites us to listen a little more closely.

I always notice how easy it is, in the fullness of life, to drift slightly away from myself. Not all at once, but gradually. Through busy days, daycare pick-ups, shifting priorities, and the constant movement of it all.

And what brings me back is never anything extreme.

It’s the simple act of showing up. Stepping onto a mat, moving my body, taking a breath that actually lands. Returning, again and again, until something begins to settle.

In yoga, there’s the idea of sadhana — a daily practice, or a quiet devotion. Not in a rigid or perfect way, but as a way of caring for yourself. A way of returning. Of choosing, in small and consistent moments, to meet yourself where you are.

And in a world that asks so much of us, that kind of devotion can feel quietly radical.

Because depth in practice isn’t something you force. It’s not something you achieve in a single class or a single moment. It reveals itself over time — through consistency, through presence, through all the small moments that begin to add up.

For some, that looks like building strength. Finding steadiness in your body, feeling capable and supported, and growing a quiet confidence each time you move. Letting your practice be a space where you can explore and refine, but also just land.

For others, it’s a different kind of return. A pause in the middle of full days. A moment that isn’t for anyone else. A way to reconnect, to move, to feel strong again — not just physically, but in a way that fills your own cup.

And sometimes, it’s simply about continuing. Keeping the body moving, staying connected to your energy, your health, your sense of vitality. Moving not because you have to, but because it supports how you want to feel in your life.

Wherever you are right now, there’s space for you here. Not to push harder or do more, but to find a rhythm that feels sustainable. To move in a way that supports your life, rather than adding to the noise of it.

This May is a gentle invitation back into that rhythm.

To show up. To keep returning. To let the practice meet you where you are, and to notice what begins to shift when you stay with it.

We’ve created Movement May as a way to support that — something simple, a little bit playful, and rooted in consistency.

Each time you come to class, you’ll build points.
Classes, workshops, even sharing the space with someone new — it all counts.

Not as pressure, but as a quiet nudge.
A reason to come back. To stay connected. To keep choosing yourself, even on the days it feels easier not to.

There’s a prize for the top attendee — a little something to celebrate your dedication. Think pieces you’ll move in, ways to nourish yourself, and things that support the rhythm you’re building.

And while the prize is a fun part of it, the real shift tends to happen when you simply stay with the practice.

By the end of the month, you might notice you feel a little more grounded.
Clearer in your mind.
Stronger in your body.
More connected to yourself.

We also have some beautiful things unfolding in the studio this month — spaces to deepen your practice, to learn, to explore, and to reconnect in ways that feel supportive and real. Think arm balancing workshop, sound bath and community connection events

If you’ve been thinking about coming back, or beginning again, this is a really supportive time to step in — to find your rhythm early and let it carry you through the month.

Stay tuned for what’s ahead.

We’ll be here.
