YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Where ancient practice meets embodied modern living — right here in Christchurch.OUR FIRST IN-PERSON COHORTFor those seeking depth beyond the poses.
Whether you feel called to teach or simply wish to meet yoga more deeply as a way of life, our 200HR training is designed as a space for transformation, inquiry, and embodied learning.
This is more than memorising pose names. It is an invitation to explore yoga as a living practice — one that supports presence, curiosity, community, and meaningful connection.
Through a balance of science and soul, structure and intuition, you'll be guided to not only understand the practice more deeply, but to embody it in a way that is uniquely your own.
“We don’t use the body to get into the pose. We use the pose to get into the body.”
“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life.”
“If we profess to be teaching Yoga, which is a science and art of living, we must practice that way of living ourselves”
“Teaching is not something forced or performed, but something that emerges organically through embodied practice, curiosity, and lived experience.”

COMMON QUESTIONS
FAQ
-
Rooted in the Hatha and Vinyasa traditions, explored through the lens of non-dual tantric philosophy.
-
Yes — as long as you have an open mind and eagerness to learn. The physical depth of your postures matters far less than your willingness to embrace the material and explore your practice on and off the mat.
-
Absolutely. The first 100hrs (Modules 1 + 2) focus on philosophy, asana, home practice, and anatomy — with no teaching component required. You can decide about Part 2 later.
-
A maximum of 16 participants — intentionally kept small so everyone has space to ask questions, be fully supported, and build genuine community within the group.
-
Full attendance is important as each weekend builds progressively. If something unavoidable comes up we'll work together on a case-by-case basis — this may include a private catch-up session. Where significant time is missed we may recommend joining a future cohort.

GUEST TEACHER - 200HR RYT + Osteopath LUCIEN NABBS
Lucien has been practising yoga for over 10 years and teaching for more than 8. His journey with yoga sparked a deep appreciation for movement and provided him with valuable tools for navigating life with greater awareness and ease.
His love of yoga and curiosity about the human body led him to study osteopathy, which he now practises alongside teaching. Lucien's classes are influenced by both disciplines, with a focus on functional movement, breath awareness, and helping students find greater freedom in their bodies.
